Cao Xiong
Personal profile
Cao Xiong, male, born in 1969, member of the Communist Party of China, professor, doctoral supervisor. In 1993, he graduated from the Agronomy College of Shanxi Agricultural University with a bachelor's degree in agronomy. In July of the same year, he was assigned to the Institute of Industrial Crop, Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The main research content is soybean genetic breeding and high-yield cultivation technology.

Overview of Teaching and Research
Cao xiong has long been engaged in the integration of soybean and sorghum genetic breeding and cultivation technology. He presided over more than 20 scientific research projects including the National 863 Project, the National Science and Technology Support Project, the National Millet Sorghum Industrial Technology System Sorghum Fenyang Comprehensive Experimental Station, the Provincial Science and Technology Research Project, and the Academy Research Project. He won the second prize of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Harvest One item, one second prize of Shanxi Science and Technology Progress Award, three third prize of Shanxi Science and Technology Progress Award, participated in the breeding of 6 new soybean varieties, developed 3 sets of sorghum cultivation techniques in different regions, and wrote more than 20 research papers for the first author. He obtained 1 invention patent and formulated 1 provincial and local standard. In May 2018, he was hired by Fenyang City Association for Science and Technology as a member of the first batch of Fenyang City Agricultural Science and Technology Expert Group. In July 2020, he was hired by Shanxi Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs as an "Expert of Shanxi Province Dryland Sorghum Industry Cluster Expert Committee"
