Overview of Teaching and Research
Shangguan Xiaoxia has long been engaged in the research of functional genes and genetic breeding of cotton, the excellency gene mining of major crops, the establishment and improvement of plant gene editing technology system, germplasm innovation work, etc. She has presided over 6 projects of major special projects for breeding new varieties of genetically modified organisms, Shanxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation, Shanxi Provincial Science and Technology Breakthrough project, etc., and participated in more than 20 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key Research and Development Program, Shanxi Provincial Key Research Program, etc. She has published more than 40 papers in international and national academic journals, 14 of which are indexed by SCI. She was awarded 5 national patents, 2 second-class awards and 1 third-class award for scientific and technological progress in Shanxi Province.
